As a kid, one of my favorite books was The Penny Whistle Party Planner — a magical, very '90s book filled with ideas for themed children's birthday parties. I grew up in a home where my family hosted frequent gatherings: Christmas, Easter, birthdays, potlucks. There was always something to prepare for.
Some of my earliest memories are in the in-between moments. Pulling decorations out, untangling lights, setting the table, lighting candles. It wasn’t just about the event. It was how it came together.
